My guide club has a challenge. It’s hard to find good fiction.
The Leather Bindings Society fulfills every six months and now we alternate between reading non-fiction and fiction. Our company is specifically enthusiastic about publications about and pertaining to BDSM, Leather, fetish and kink. On these subjects, there’s non-fiction aplenty: even though we omit the endless 101-level how-to guides, today’s offerings in memoir, biography, educational work and community-based texts are rich and diverse. We don’t wind up loving every written book we read, but we have a great amount of solid ones to select from. But once it comes down to fiction… hooboy. Not too effortless. We often omit pure porn/erotica from go, you wank, not to provide interesting fodder for discussion because it’s designed to make. Periodically a work of erotica manages to strike sufficient plot, character, establishing and metaphor notes to get results, but such publications are few in number. While we’re open to genre fiction, it frequently presents quality dilemmas: predictable plots, ho-hum writing, terrible modifying, and ultimately very little to explore. (we mean… the Gor novels are only… no.) looking for BDSM fiction usually raises mostly these two kinds of publications.
